How much does a nursery website cost?
Short answer: in the UK, a nursery website costs between about £500 and £3,500 over three years. Pay-monthly templates run £15 to £30 a month. Specialist agencies charge £945 to £1,495 upfront, plus £315 a year to £50 a month. Welcome Page charges £495 once, with no monthly fee.
Updated 28 October 2026. Prices as each provider publishes them; some exclude VAT. Every option also needs a web address, usually under £15 a year.
Three-year cost, side by side
The upfront price is only half the story. A monthly fee looks small and adds up. Here’s what each option costs in total after three years.
What changes the price
- Who writes the words. Many cheap options give you a template and empty boxes. Writing clear pages about fees, funded hours and your day is most of the work.
- Number of pages. A childminder needs two or three. A nursery with several rooms, a pre-school and holiday clubs needs more.
- Ongoing hosting and support. This is where monthly fees come from. Ask exactly what each month pays for.
- Extras. Photography, video tours and printed prospectuses are often sold separately and can cost more than the website.
Questions to ask any provider
- Who owns the web address, and is it registered in my name?
- What happens to my site if I stop paying the monthly fee?
- Who writes the pages, and how many rounds of changes are included?
- How much does a change cost after launch, and can my staff make changes?
- Will my fees and chargeable extras be laid out the way my council expects?

Questions
How much does a nursery website cost in the UK?
Between about £500 and £3,500 over three years, depending on the model. Pay-monthly templates cost £15 to £30 a month, specialist agencies charge £945 to £1,495 upfront plus a yearly or monthly fee, and Welcome Page charges £495 once with no monthly fee.
Is a monthly-fee nursery website worth it?
It can be if you want someone else to make every change. But a monthly fee keeps running whether or not anything changes, and on many plans the site disappears if you stop paying. Ask what happens to your website and web address if you leave.
Are there hidden costs with a £495 nursery website?
Your web address (a .co.uk is usually under £15 a year) is paid directly to the registrar. Hosting is free on a Cloudflare account you own. Changes are free for the first month; after that a small change is £25 and a new page is £60, or your staff can edit the site themselves for free.
How much does a childminder website cost?
Welcome Page builds a two or three page childminder website for £195, paid once, with no monthly fee.
Why is there no monthly fee?
Most monthly fees pay for hosting. A nursery website gets modest traffic, which Cloudflare’s free plan covers, so we set the site up on a free Cloudflare account in your name and there’s nothing for us to charge you each month.
