Websites for childminders
You’re already answering the same questions on the phone, in Facebook messages and on the doorstep. A small website answers them once, and lets parents find you when they search.
Why a childminder needs a website
- Parents search before they message. “Childminder near me” on Google shows websites and Google Business Profiles first. A Facebook page alone is easy to miss.
- It looks professional. Parents are trusting you with their child in your home. A clear, current site with your Ofsted report linked says you take that seriously.
- Fewer repeat questions. Fees, hours, funded places and what a day looks like, written down once.
- It’s yours. Unlike a directory listing, nobody else’s adverts sit next to your name.
What goes on it
Two or three short pages, which is all most childminders need:
- About you and your days: your experience, qualifications, paediatric first aid, routines, outings, meals and the school run
- Fees and hours: your rates, funded hours and any extras in plain pounds, with your Ofsted or childminder agency report linked in full, and your certificate of registration, which the September 2026 EYFS says can be displayed on your website
- Get in touch: a short form for availability and visits, sent straight to your email
See an example: No. 9 Childminding is a demo site we built for a made-up childminder. It has a floor plan of the rooms children use, the free spaces for each day, and the dates she’s closed.
You may not need written policies if you’re only on the Early Years Register, but you do need to be able to explain them to parents. We can put short, plain versions on your site if you’d like. Our guide to what the EYFS expects you to share has the detail.
Your home, kept private
We never put your full home address on the site. Parents see your area and a contact form, and you share the address when you’re ready. There are no photos of children unless you have written consent and want them; most childminders use photos of the playroom, the garden, toys and activities instead.
What it costs
£195, paid once, for a two or three page site. No monthly fee: hosting is free, on a Cloudflare account that belongs to you. We write the words from a few notes you send, you check everything, and it’s live in about two weeks. We also set up your Google Business Profile so you show on Maps.

Questions
How much does a childminder website cost?
£195, paid once, for a two or three page website. No monthly fee: hosting is free on a Cloudflare account in your name.
Will my home address be on the website?
No. Parents see your area and a contact form. You share your address when you’re ready.
Do childminders have to publish their charges online?
Councils may exempt childminders from publishing chargeable extras online. Many parents still want to see your rates before they get in touch, so we include a simple fees page.
Do I need photos of the children?
No. Most childminders use photos of the playroom, garden, toys and activities. We only use photos of children with written parental consent.
