Nursery website redesign
Your nursery has changed since the website was built. We’ll replace it with one that’s current, works on a phone and keeps everything you’ve built up: your web address, your Google ranking and the links parents already have.
Signs it’s time
- Fees, term dates or staff on the site are out of date, and nobody remembers how to change them
- The browser shows “Not secure” next to your address
- Text is tiny on a phone and parents have to pinch to read it
- You’re paying a monthly fee for a site that hasn’t changed in years
- Your chargeable extras aren’t on the site, and your council has asked
Not sure? Run through our nursery website checklist in ten minutes.
What we keep
- Your web address. We move it across, and help you get it registered in your own name if it isn’t.
- Your Google ranking. Every old page address is redirected to its new page, so nothing breaks.
- Your words and photos. We reuse what still works and rewrite what doesn’t.
Switching from a monthly provider
- Check when your contract ends and who the web address is registered to.
- We build and you approve the new site on a private preview link, while the old one stays live.
- On the day, your address is pointed at the new site. Parents see no gap.
- You cancel the old plan. From then on there’s no monthly fee.
What it costs
£495, paid once, the same as a new site. Hosting is free on a Cloudflare account in your name. If you’re paying £20 a month today, that’s £240 a year you keep.See the three-year comparison.
Questions
Will we lose our Google ranking if we redesign our nursery website?
Not if the old page addresses are redirected to the new ones. We map every old page to its new home before launch, so links from Google, your council directory and old letters keep working.
Can we leave our current website provider?
Usually yes, once any contract ends. We build the new site in advance and switch on the day, so there’s no gap. Check whether your web address is registered in your name; if your provider holds it, ask them to transfer it to you.
How do we move a .co.uk web address?
.uk domains move between registrars by changing their ‘IPS tag’ rather than with an authorisation code. Your current provider changes the tag to the new registrar’s, and you stay the owner throughout. We walk you through it.
How long does a nursery website redesign take?
About two weeks for most nurseries. The old site stays live until you’ve approved the new one.
How much does a nursery website redesign cost?
£495, paid once, the same as a new site. There’s no monthly fee afterwards.
