Pre-school and playgroup websites
A website that belongs to your pre-school, not to whichever volunteer set it up. Written for you, £495 paid once, and simple enough for next year’s committee to keep up to date.
Made for how pre-schools run
- Owned by the setting. The web address and hosting account are in the pre-school’s name, with logins handed over in writing, so nothing is lost when the committee changes.
- Term-time sessions, explained. Morning and afternoon sessions, lunch club, funded hours for 2, 3 and 4-year-olds and what parents pay for, laid out the way councils now expect.
- A hall-based setting, shown well. Photos of your room set up, the outdoor space and the team, so parents can picture it before they visit.
- Charity details in the footer. Your registered charity number, and company details if you’re a charitable company.
- Fundraising and volunteering. A page for events, the committee and how parents can help.

What it costs
£495, paid once. Hosting is free on a Cloudflare account in the pre-school’s name. Your first month includes free changes; after that a small change is £25 and a new page is £60, or your staff and committee can edit news, policies and dates themselves. Compare costs over three years.
Questions
How much does a pre-school website cost?
£495, paid once, with no monthly fee. That’s often less than one year of a pay-monthly plan, which matters when every pound comes from fees and fundraising.
What happens when our committee changes?
The website, web address and hosting account belong to the pre-school, not to a volunteer. We hand over logins in writing so next year’s committee can pick them up.
Do we need to show our charity number on the website?
Registered charities in England and Wales with income over £10,000 must say they are a registered charity on fundraising appeals, invoices and receipts. Most pre-schools also show their number in the website footer, and we include it.
Can parents apply for a place online?
Yes. A waiting list form sends applications straight to your email, with your sessions and funded hours explained above it.
