Free nursery website checker
Enter your website. In about 15 seconds we’ll show what parents can and can’t find: fees, funded hours, your Ofsted report, policies, a phone number and more.
Want a person to look too?
The checker reads words. A person can tell you whether your fees are clear, your photos are safe to share and your Ofsted wording is right. Within two working days, free, and no sales call unless you ask for one.
What it checks
- A secure address. Without https, browsers label your site “Not secure”.
- Set up for phones. Most parents look on a phone.
- A tap-to-call phone number. The EYFS says parents must have an emergency number.
- Fees and funded hours. The first thing parents look for.
- Chargeable extras. DfE guidance says settings offering funded hours should publish them.
- A link to your inspection report. Parents check it, and the EYFS says you must share it.
- Old Ofsted grade wording. “Outstanding” and “Good” must come down after your next inspection.
- Policies, safeguarding, SEND, complaints and food. Items the EYFS says you must share with parents.
- An out-of-date EYFS reference. New frameworks came in on 1 September 2026.
- A privacy notice. Needed if your site has a contact or waiting list form.
A pass means we found it, not that it’s right. For the full list, work through ournursery website checklist, or readwhat the EYFS says you must share with parents.
Questions
Is the website checker free?
Yes. There’s no sign-up and we don’t store the address you check. If you want a person to look at your site as well, there’s a free form under your results.
How does it work?
It reads your homepage and up to eight pages linked from it, such as fees, policies and contact pages, and looks for the words and links parents and the EYFS expect. It takes about 15 seconds.
Does a pass mean my website is compliant?
No. A pass means we found the item, not that it’s complete or correct. The checker reads text, so it can also miss things inside images or PDFs. Treat it as a quick first look.
Why can’t it check my website?
Some sites block automated visitors, and some only show their text after JavaScript runs. Parked or unfinished sites don’t have enough to check. Use the form to ask a person instead.
Does it work for childminders and schools?
It’s written for nurseries, pre-schools and childminders in England. Schools have a separate statutory list: see what a school website must include.
